About Jarrod.

Jarrod Mallon was once quoted as saying - "The only way to do great work is to love what you do." Okay, so maybe it was Steve Jobs who actually said it...but Jarrod sure agrees with the quote!

Jarrod has been serving buyers and sellers throughout Maine's southern, central, and midcoast communities as a full time real estate professional since 2013. During this time, Jarrod has built a strong reputation as a trusted advisor while guiding both local and out of state clients through successful real estate transactions of single family, condominium, and investment properties.

Jarrod believes the real estate practice is about serving people and putting their interests first. He takes a consultative approach to real estate sales, always advising and informing his clients to allow them to make the best decisions possible for themselves, never pressuring them. Clients will often hear Jarrod say “I advise and you decide”. Jarrod understands buying or selling a home is often a life milestone for his clients. Whether it's a first time homebuyer achieving their dream of homeownership, or a homeowner needing to sell in order to start a new chapter in their life, it's helping clients accomplish their goals that is most fulfilling to Jarrod, which continues to drive his passion for his work.

Passion at an early age.

Growing up in a family with construction backgrounds where real estate was talked about around the dinner table, Jarrod developed his passion for real estate early on. It wasn't a surprise to his family and those closest to him when he decided on a career as a real estate professional. In his younger days, Jarrod operated a neighborhood paper route, started a local lawn mowing service, and would shovel snow from neighborhood driveways in the winter, thereby helping sow the seeds for his business mindset and entrepreneurial spirit. During this time, countless books on real estate could always be found on Jarrod’s nightstand, confirming his longstanding interest on the topic. Throughout the summers of his high school and college years, Jarrod worked for both a land surveying and civil engineering firm, and a local builder performing carpentry work, where he witnessed firsthand the residential construction boom of the late 90's and early 2000's, furthering his knowledge and excitement for the real estate and construction industries. Additionally, Jarrod spent a decade working in the hospitality industry where he developed and fine-tuned his guest service skills, which in turn has carried over to help him provide a top-notch client experience during the real estate transaction process.

Family & Lifestyle.

Jarrod currently resides in the coastal town of Brunswick with his wife Lindsay, stepson Brayden, and baby boy Everett. You can often catch Jarrod walking the neighborhood with his two dogs, Finnley and Cooper. Jarrod and his family love living in Brunswick. "It has a little bit of everything!", he likes to say. With its quaint walkable downtown area of shops and restaurants, Bowdoin College campus, high-rated school system, access to recreational water and nature activities, proximity to major amenities and shopping, there's a lot to find appealing. Jarrod and Lindsay particularly enjoy taking advantage of the diverse culinary and craft brewing scene throughout the area. Because of Brunswick's central location to areas such as Portland, Lewiston/Auburn, Augusta, and southern Midcoast destinations such as Harpswell, Wiscasset and Boothbay Harbor, it not only provides Jarrod and his family a seemingly endless possibilities of dining and recreation options, but has also allowed Jarrod to conveniently work across these "micro-markets" of the Maine real estate landscape, each with their own individual nuances. Jarrod loves exploring and continuing to learn new things about the different communities he serves. This has served him well when working with both local and out of state clients.

In the summer months and whenever his work schedule allows, Jarrod enjoys the "Maine Lake Life" at his Tacoma Lakes property in Litchfield. Gathering with family and friends, Jarrod enjoys BBQ's, boating, kayaking, swimming, fishing, and just relaxing in the peace and solitude of nature. Waterfront living is a big draw to the Maine real estate market. Jarrod knows firsthand the ins and outs of waterfront living in Maine.

Jarrod believes in community involvement and giving back. He loves supporting local small businesses within the areas he serves. Jarrod has also volunteered his time both as a soccer coach for Brunswick’s youth sports program and at the Preble Street Resource Center in Portland.
